In the spring of 2014, the Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House was dedicated in the presence of donors, Bon Secours leaders, volunteers and community guests. On that day of celebration, an important stage in the continuum of care and a vital element of the ministry of hospitality at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital joined together.

Since welcoming its first guest on June 9, 2014, the Reinhart Guest House has served more than 3,000 families in need, offering not just a home away from home, but also a sanctuary of compassion for caregivers and families of patients at St. Mary’s.

The Reinhart Family Foundation made a heartfelt gift of $1 million to name the Guest House in honor of their beloved mother and wife Evelyn D. Reinhart. In 2016, Bud Reinhart and family established the Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House Endowment by making an initial investment of $250,000 and challenging the Bon Secours organization to raise $500,000, which will be matched at a rate of $1 per $2, resulting in another investment of $250,000 paid to the fund. The challenge must be met by December 31, 2017. The $1 million dollar endowment will help sustain the Reinhart Guest House operations for years to come.
